Hello Coaches!
My name is Charlotte Copacino. I am a member of the graduating class of 2027 at Shorewood High School. I am a true utility player, as I can play 8 out of the 9 positions on the softball diamond. Primarily, I am an outfielder with a quick first step, and I play infield as a strong secondary option. In high school, I played a lot of outfield, especially left and right field. As a freshman, I was the starting left fielder on the varsity team. When I began my sports career, I didn’t start playing softball, I started playing baseball. Even though I loved playing baseball, 5 years ago, I transitioned to playing softball, and I absolutely love it. I love that softball has taught me responsibility and accountability. It has taught me how to be a good team player and how to work through challenges. Ever since I started playing, I have had the goal of one day being able to play collegiate softball. As for my major, I want to study kinesiology and be a physical trainer for a professional sports team. I currently play for Elevate Black- 16u. As a team, our goal is to have each other's backs and compete in high-level competition. We will be flying away to many out-of-state tournaments to gain exposure. Softball has always played a central role in my life. I knew that it was always going to be there for me. Some of my best memories come from softball, and I wouldn’t have been able to meet some of my closest friends if it weren’t for this sport.Thank you for taking the time to read my player statement,
